Did you know my original plan was to become a nurse? That was the goal until my favourite person left my world. My intuitive, clever, kind-hearted and especially creative dad.

Some of my earliest creative memories come from my dad. From making flipbook animations together to digital painting on the big box PC he brought home when I was five. My early childhood is filled with memories of drawing, painting or going on the family computer. He was the one who first introduced me to art in so many forms.

Because of that, creativity has always felt deeply personal to me. It is my anchor. It’s something that connects me back to him and I’m so grateful that I’ve found my way back to that special connection through my career.

This love followed me through a lot of phases in my life. I started teaching myself how to make “fan edits” of movies and music videos at 10 years old, and that’s where my interest for the technical side of visual art really began. Since then, that curiosity has only grown. I was curious about how it all came together. The craft behind visual storytelling was something I always knew I wanted to be a part of.

I went on to study at Vancouver Film School, where I earned diplomas in Foundation of Visual Art & Design and 3D Animation & Visual Effects. This is where I received industry level training for a variety of softwares and elevated my skills in sketching, graphic design, editing and everything 3D.

I often describe my love for film as “magic.” There’s something powerful about how a single frame can stay with you long after you’ve seen it. That’s the feeling I want to create through my work.
